DUAKLIR (aclidinium bromide/formoterol) 400mcg/12mcg, 60 dose

Aclidinium/Formoterol is used as a long term treatment to prevent wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) such as chronic bronchitis (swelling of the air passages that lead to the lungs) and emphysema (damage to air sacs in the lungs). Aclidinium is in a class of medications called bronchodilators. It works by relaxing and opening the air passages to the lungs to make breathing easier. International versions of this inhaler may have a label strength of 340mcg/12mcg (corresponds to a metered dose of 400mcg/12mcg). These products supply the same amount of active ingredient as the corresponding US brand product, the difference is due to alternate EU ways of measuring the strength. Each delivered dose (leaving the mouthpiece) contains 396 mcg of aclidinium bromide (equivalent to 340 mcg of aclidinium) and 11.8 mcg of formoterol fumarate dihydrate. This corresponds to a metered dose of 400/12mcg aclidinium/formoterol.
